San Diego Council of Divers May 2005 General Meeting

What's Going On
The San Diego Council of Divers will host a panel-style discussion of the pros and cons of man-made (artificial) reefs at their 2005 public meeting. The topic is of particular interest to local divers in light of the Ships2Reefs initiative (http://www.ships2reefs.com/).

Directions:
From South of La Jolla, take the 5 freeway north. Exit Ardath Road. Proceed on Ardath Road, then take a right on La Jolla Shores Drive. Follow La Jolla Shores Drive for about 5 minutes. Sumner Auditorium is on the west side of the street between El Paseo Grande and Naga Way. From the street, you can see a blue bus stop sign, near that are stairs leading down into Sumner Auditorium's breezeway.

From the North of La Jolla, take the 5 freeway south and exit on La Jolla Village Drive (west). Stay in the middle lane. Go north (turn right) onto North Torrey Pines Road and get into the left lane immediately. Turn left onto La Jolla Shores Dr and come down to the bottom of the hill where Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO) will be on the right. Park on the street and walk down any of the concrete footpaths that will lead you to Sumner Auditorium. The auditorium has two large double doors facing the street and a bell on the left side of the building.

Parking is not allowed on the SIO campus, so please find parking on the street in front of Sumner. Walk down any of the concrete footpaths because they will lead you to Sumner Auditorium which is the first large building with two large double doors and a bell.
